Introducing the xReality Framework

Together with Philipp Rauschnabel, Reto Felix, Chris Hinsch and Hamza Shahab we published a framework on XR in the journal “Computers in Human Behavior”, which introduces a revised view on XR.

Internship Luis

During a one-week school internship, Luis was able to gain insights into the research of the Usable Security and Privacy group. He also developed a working software and hardware prototype.

Google Faculty Award for PrEvoke

The Usable Security and Privacy group has won a Google Faculty Award for the PrEvoke project, which will launch in January 2022.

School Internship

The Usable Security and Privacy group had the opportunity to introduce a student intern to research in the field of human-machine interaction. During his one-week internship in October 2021, Lucas gained insights into the daily routine of the scientific staff and was also able to realize his own small projects.

INTERACT 2021

Our group contributes 6 papers to INTERACT 2021.

Contributions to CHI 2021

Our group contributes this year 4 full papers and various late breaking works, workshop papers and demonstrations to the ACM CHI Conference on Human Factors in Computing Systems.

Our group made several contributions to this year’s MUM conference.

Visit of the Members of the German Bundestag Dr. Brandl and Hahn

On Friday, 17.07.2020 we had the pleasure to welcome the Members of the German Bundestag Dr. Reinhardt Brandl and Florian Hahn at the Usable Security and Privacy group.

Dissertation of Dr. Michael Braun

On May 27, 2020, Dr. Michael Braun successfully defended his dissertation on “Affective Automotive User Interfaces”.

CHI 2020

Also this year, the Usable Security and Privacy group published several papers at the ACM CHI Conference on Human Factors in Computing Systems

Our group will published several papers in this year's conferences DIS, ETRA, AVI and NordiCHI.

MUM 2019

We presented three papers at this year's MUM 2019 conference in Pisa. Furthermore, Florian took over the role of the Steering Committee Chair for the conference series.

Open Lab

For the first time, the Research Group for Usable Security and Privacy organized an Open Lab Event.

n November 2019, visitors to the Deutsches Museum were able to try out an installation by our research group.

On October, 4th 2019, ARD weather expert and science journalist Karsten Schwanke and Prof. Dr. Manfred Broy from the Technical University of Munich spontaneously visited us.

Usable Security and Privacy Group at CHI 2019

The Usable Security and Privacy Group presented several publications at this year's CHI conference in Glasgow.

One Year "Usable Security and Privacy" Group

Almost a year ago, starting 1st May 2018, Florian Alt and Ken Pfeuffer started building up the Usable Security and Privacy Group at the Bundeswehr University, Munich.

BehaVR Lab

We are excited about finally establishing the BehaVR Lab at the Bundeswehr University. The lab allows us to explore novel user interfaces and concepts that learn from and react to users' behavior. VR and AR technology allows us to explore concepts in novel settings and to simulate realistic environments.

MUM 2018

From 25-28th November 2018 we organized the 17th International Conference on Mobile and Ubiquitous Multimedia in Cairo, Egypt.

UIST School 2018

In the context of UIST 2018 in Berlin we organized the first UIST School (Topic: Moving Interaction Closer To The Body: Physiology And Beyond) at the Hasso-Plattner-Institute in Potsdam.

Presenting our Work at CHI 2018

From Saturday, 21st April to Thursday, 26th April 2018 our group visited Montreal, Canada to attend CHI18 and present our work.
