Internship Luis

8 April 2022

During a one-week school internship, Luis was able to gain insights into the research of the Usable Security and Privacy group and the everyday life of the scientific staff. The team members presented their various research projects to him, including in the areas of Physiological Sensing, Behavioral Biometrics, Eye-Tracking, Thermal Imaging, Smart Homes, Tangible User Interfaces, Virtual and Augmented Reality.

During the week, Luis also developed a working software and hardware prototype for measuring user behavior. Hence, he equipped an office chair with sensors and a microcontroller. Additionally, he developed corresponding software to collect, store and visualize the measurement data. On the last day of his internship, Luis presented his impressive prototype to the team in a final presentation with live demo.
