Research exchange with Serge Nicaise From March 13 to 17, our colleague Philipp Zilk was a guest of Serge Nicaise, one of the most renowned scientists in the field of theoretical and numerical analysis of partial differential equations.
Workshop on "High Performance Computing" in the Bundeswehr On March 8, 2023, the kick-off workshop "HPC in the Bundeswehr" took place at the University of the Bundeswehr Munich. Embedded in the dtec.bw-funded project "hpc.bw: Competence Platform for Software Efficiency and High Performance Computing", the workshop aimed to bring representatives of the two universities of the Bundeswehr as well as various departments of the Bundeswehr into conversation with each other and to offer an exchange forum on the possibilities and needs for high performance computing (HPC) in the Bundeswehr.

IMCS at the II Advanced International School on Experiments, Modeling and Simulation in Biomechanics and Mechanobiology The IMCS participated for the first time this year in the Advanced International School at the University of Tor Vergata in Rome, represented by our PhD student Martin Frank. Excursion 2022 The IMCS team goes to "Starnberger See" on 02.08.2022 for the annual excursion. In bright sunshine, the IMCS team spends the day together at "Starnberger See". In summery temperatures, the team was able to relax with a short hike and soak up a few hours of sunshine before the conference preparations will be completed in the coming weeks.
IMCS at FE ohne Schnee For the first time, IMCS was invited to participate in this year's FE im Schnee event and was able to present its research in contact mechanics and mixed-dimensional modeling. The event series was initiated by Professor Ramm, Professor Stein and Professor Wunderlich to support the networking and exchange of ideas between the participating research groups of different chairs and institutes in the field of (structural) mechanics from Germany and Austria.
