IGDK Workshops

UniBw Munich, May 29 and July 2, 2020

 

The workshops are organised by mathematicians of UniBw M on the occasion of the 70th birthday of our former colleague Joachim Gwinner. The goal is to stimulate the exchange of ideas within several groups of IGDK 1754 within a nice and friendly atmosphere.

 

Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, we have decided to postpone the workshops indefinitely.

 

Program:

Workshop 1:    Numerical Analysis of Nonsmooth Variational Problems

                            May 29, 2020

Workshop 2:    Analysis and Optimal Control for Nonsmooth Problems

                             July 2, 2020    

                             Confirmed speakers: Martin Brokate, Matthias Gerdts, Victor Kovtunenko, and Boris Vexler       

 

Venue:

The workshops will take place on the campus of the UniBW Munich. You get access to the university via the visitors' entrance at the west gate (street corner "Zwergerstraße/Universitätsstraße"). In order to get access to the campus you need a valid identity card or passport.

 

The talks will take place in room 33/3231 (on the third floor of building 33). A campus map can be found here.

  • Participation with talk: Please send an e-mail to thomas.apel@unibw.de until end of March 2020.
  • Participation without talk: Please send an e-mail to thomas.apel@unibw.de at latest 3 days before the event. Note that we have to notify your name to the guards in order to guarantee the access to the campus.
