The “GNSS signal design” research area investigates advanced modulation and data delivery techniques for future radio navigation. The institute has developed over the years a variety of unique software tools for the SIS performance evaluation, where state-of-the-art techniques in the field of radio communications networks are analyzed and their applicability for satellite navigation is assessed. The scope is to propose and provide better and efficient satellite navigation services in challenging environments. The application areas include traditional GNSS, but also LEO-PNT and terrestrial radio navigation possibilities.
