Alexandra Jussli presented a research project in the “Entrepreneurial Emotion and Cognition” track of the EURAM Conference, which she is conducting in collaboration with the Institut für Entrepreneurship und Innovation, Universität Stuttgart.
The paper examines how values-based affirmations can facilitate coping with job insecurity and identifies specific underlying mechanisms. The findings suggest that affirming personal values enhances psychological capital and promotes various forms of job crafting. In addition, the results indicate that mindfulness techniques and a workshop setting characterized by high psychological safety can further strengthen the effectiveness of the intervention.
Alexandra Jussli also had the opportunity to discuss another project from her dissertation in a symposium on sustainable transformation. This project explores the potential of different organizational practices in times of job insecurity. In this context, participants reflected on the conditions under which “soft organizational practices” might produce unintended negative effects and what expectations employees hold toward their organizations during uncertain times. The discussion offered new perspectives on the topic and helped refine the underlying theoretical considerations.
