English Speaking Center

The Speaking Centre offers all students at UniBw the opportunity to practise giving presentations with a teacher as part of the SLP English exam.
This helps to refresh speaking skills in preparation for an upcoming English exam.

You can book a 40-minute slot (including detailed feedback) on various days and at various times via ILIAS .

Please arrive at your appointment with an already prepared 5-minute presentation on a relevant topic. You can find guidance and information on what is expected, as well as a workbook with a selection of topics, here. 

The teacher will listen to and assess the presentation you give. Together with him or her, you will then develop a strategy, if necessary, to improve your oral communication skills.

Important: Please book your preferred time slot at least 36 hours before your appointment. To ensure that all students can benefit from the Speaking Center, you may book a maximum of two appointments per trimester.
