French Workshop: A Series of Workshops

Are you interested in languages and culture? Would you like to practise your French and have fun doing so? Then our series of workshops is just the thing for you! For 60 minutes, we’ll talk, chat and discuss. It will be a journey through French-speaking Africa, where we’ll discover, among other things:

• Figures from the worlds of culture and film: Manu Dibango, Fayruz, Le Maalouf, Youcef Chahine, Abderrahmane Sissako ...
• Intellectuals: Taher Haddad, Léopold Sédar Senghor, ...
• Customs and traditions: Behind some dishes lies a curious story ... Some ceremonies draw on a distant and little-known historical heritage
• Folklore figures: Joha, Ommek Tango, Ommi Sisi ...
• Crafts and architecture: the fez or tarboosh, the riads of Morocco ...
