Fabian Heinrich: Student Prize for Outstanding Master Thesis

12 June 2021

Fabian Heinrich, Master's graduate in Computer Science, was awarded the study prize of ITIS e. V. for his master's thesis Learning Communication Channels with Autoencoders. The supervising professor was Prof. Dr.-Ing. Andreas Knopp. The justification for the award states:

Mr. Fabian Heinrich has developed advanced machine-learning based solutions to design optimal modulators and demodulators guaranteeing a reliable data transmission on nonlinear communication channels. His results pave the way for intelligent terminals able to adapt automatically to the characteristics of the propagation channel. In recognition of this outstanding achievement, Mr. Heinrich has been awarded with the ITIS e.V. Student Prize.

Congratulations, Fabian Heinrich!
