Ville Mäkelä Ph.D.

Dr. Ville Mäkelä is a postdoctoral researcher at the Usable Security and Privacy group in the research institute Cyber Defence und Smart Data (CODE). He conducts research in many areas of human-computer interaction (HCI). At UniBw, he is working on usable security topics, like detecting and dealing with social engineering attacks. Beyond that, Dr. Mäkelä also conducts research in areas like virtual reality, ubiquitous and mobile computing, and games. Within these areas, he is particularly interested in novel research methodologies that do not require traditional user testing in the lab.
