The Language Centre runs the English for special purposes course for students studying CAE. The module lasts one term and is offered in the autumn.

The course focuses on helping students improve their ability to communicate on technical topics with greater linguistic accuracy, fluency and confidence, both orally and in writing. Reading and listening comprehension of technical texts and lectures will be practiced, and specialist vocabulary in the field of CAE will be expanded. Exercises will include discussions, debates, presentations, team meetings, and effective communication and feedback.

 

Attendance in TE 1 is not compulsory.
