New paper regarding a comparison of different quadrature methods for cut elements
8 September 2026
Our new article ""Comparative Study of Different Quadrature Methods for Cut Elements" was recently published open-access in the journal Archives of Computational Methods in Engineering. The paper is a joint work in collaboration with Institute of Applied Mechanics from TU Graz and the Chair of Fluid Dynamics from TU Darmstadt.
The paper presents a comparsion of different quadrature methods for cut elements in the context of immersed methods, which are published in open-source codes. The focus is to test accuracy, efficiency and robustness of the different approaches respectively codes. An accompanying open-source code has been published.
