Our Institute at WCCM-ECCOMAS 2026 in Munich

The WCCM 2026 (World Congress on Computational Mechanics) took place from July 19 to 24, 2026, at the ICM International Congress Center Messe München, jointly with ECCOMAS (European Congress on Computational Methods in Applied Sciences and Engineering).

"WCCM-ECCOMAS 2026" is one of the world's largest specialist congresses in the field of computational mechanics and numerical methods. The event provides a platform for international exchange regarding current developments, innovative simulation methods, and their applications in science and industry.

Prof. Dr.-Ing. Josef Kiendl, Dr.-Ing. Georgios Michaloudis, Dr.-Ing. Matthias Andrae, Till Weithoff (M.Sc.), and Moritz Wesseler (M.A.) participated on behalf of our institute, delivering various presentations. In addition, Prof. Dr.-Ing. Josef Kiendl chaired the minisymposium "Isogeometric Analysis of Thin Structures."

The congress dinner on July 23, 2026, offered a wonderful opportunity to continue conversations sparked by the congress presentations and lectures in a relaxed atmosphere.
