Alloys for Additive Manufacturing Symposium

11 März 2022

The conference will take place from 12th to the 14th of September 2022 at the Universität der Bundeswehr München.

AIMS AND SCOPE

This world-class event covers materials aspects of metal-based additive manufacturing technologies and is focused on the following topics:

  • Tailored alloys for AM and alloy optimization
  •  Composite materials for and by AM
  • Advances in AM processing, including Multi-material approaches and hybrid processes
  • Microstructure and property control by AM processing
  • Lattice structures and metamaterials

All materials scientific issues pertaining to the additive manufacturing of metals, alloys and composites including a metallic phase, fall under the scope of the conference. This includes experimental and theoretical research on powder making, powder characterization and degradation during AM processing, in-process materials behavior, post-processing and the resulting materials properties. In particular contributions concerning the optimization of existing alloys for Additive Manufacturing processes and the design of new, tailor-made alloys are encouraged.

The Alloys for Additive Manufacturing Symposium aims to be a venue for the discussion of all these issues by researchers in academia and industry. The symposium will also include a one-day event on September 14th dedicated to research by PhD students in the field of alloys for Additive Manufacturing.
