IMCS at the GACM Colloquium 2025 in Braunschweig
30 September 2025
Our colleague Dharini Balachandran participated in the annual meeting of the German Association for Computational Mechanics (GACM) in Braunschweig, where she gave her first conference presentation on “Investigation of the Lagrange Multiplier Field for Mixed-Dimensional Beam–Solid Interaction”.
In addition, our two external PhD candidates from the DLR Institute for the Protection of Terrestrial Infrastructures also contributed to the scientific program: Philip Franz presented on “Damage Identification in Structural Health Monitoring as a Bayesian Inverse Problem” and Lisa Kühn gave a talk on “Leveraging Model Order Reduction Techniques for Urban Physics Digital Twins”.
The minisymposia and keynote lectures provided inspiring discussions and valuable perspectives for the ongoing research activities of both institutes.
