Water Curtain for Testing Emergency Steer Assist
Obstacles that unexpectedly obstruct a vehicle’s path can be simulated with a water curtain suddenly cascading onto the road. Thus, the driver’s startle responses and typical patterns of behavior can be examined. Driving through the water wall poses no danger to either driver or vehicle. If a driver reacts wrongly or too late and fails to swerve around this “obstacle” or stop in front of it, there will thus be no consequences.
