Information on the requirements for civilians to study at the University of the Bundeswehr Munich.
The primary purpose of the University of the Bundeswehr Munich (UniBw M) is to provide academic training for future officers. Depending on available capacity and under certain conditions, however, UniBw M is also open to civilian students. Just like military students, civilian students benefit from the excellent conditions and the quality of our academic programs.
- Small groups: Lectures and seminars take place not in overcrowded lecture halls but in small groups, which allows lecturers to engage much more closely with their students.
- Trimester system: This close cooperation and support as well as the trimester system allow students to complete their studies in less time. Bachelor’s degrees can be obtained in just seven trimesters, while a master’s degree takes another five trimesters, which means students can complete their studies in a total of less than four years.
- Equipment: Our University provides laboratories that are equipped to the highest standard as well as a wide range of other facilities such as a newsroom, a media center, a testing track and a language-training center.
- Campus university: As a campus university, UniBw M offers everything you need for your studies within easy reach.
