Ratnadeep Pramanik organizes minisymposium at ICBT 2025
23 November 2025
IMCS postdoctoral researcher Dr. Ratnadeep Pramanik organized the minisymposium titled "Endovascular Devices for Aneurysm Treatment: Integrating Computational Mechanics, Material Modeling, Implant Design, 3D Printing, and Flow Dynamics" at the International Conference on Biomedical Technology (ICBT 2025), held November 17–18, 2025, at the Courtyard Hannover Maschsee, Hannover. The session connected the full pipeline, from patient-specific phantom fabrication and material/surface characterization, through fluid–structure interaction (FSI) of device deployment and training models for aortic procedures, to CFD insights for flow-diverter design, and sparked rigorous, practical discussion.

Ratnadeep extends sincere thanks to co-organizers Dr. Duygu Dengiz, PhD, Dr. Mariya S. Pravdivtseva, and Prof. Dr. Alexander Popp, who shared invaluable guidance throughout planning; to the organizing committee, with special thanks to Dr.-Ing. Meisam Soleimani, for seamless coordination and the opportunity to curate the minisymposium; and to the hosts, Hannover Medical School (MHH) and Leibniz Universität Hannover, for a superbly organized conference. A special highlight was meeting Prof. Dr. Peter Wriggers in person.
