28 Oktober 2026

Our colleague Philipp Zilk was awarded the Research Prize of the Förderverein Konstruktiver Ingenieurbau at the Bundeswehr University Munich’s Dies academicus 2026. The prize recognizes outstanding dissertations that demonstrate scientific quality and make significant contributions to their respective fields of research. It was presented on 23 October 2026 by Prof. Geralt Siebert, Vice President for Research, Innovation and Sustainable Development.

The Dies academicus celebrated scientific excellence, the promotion of early-career researchers, and the exceptional commitment of university members. In addition to the presentation of the university and research prizes, this year’s event focused on resilience in politics, public administration, and society under the guiding theme “From Crisis Preparedness to Crisis Management”.

Further information about the event and the other awards is available in the University’s corresponding news article on the Dies academicus 2026.
