CCEW Symposium Report 2026
5 November 2026
This year, the CCEW Symposium was held for the first time at the Federal Academy for Security Policy (BAKS) in Berlin. The two-day event, which took place on October 13 and 14, 2026, was held under the theme “Conflict Early Warning in Times of Power Competition – Limits and Challenges.”
The symposium featured a combination of research presentations and policy panel discussions. In addition, seminars provided opportunities for more interactive exchanges in smaller, interdisciplinary groups.
The 2026 Symposium Report provides a summary of the event. It offers an overview of the topics presented in the research panels and discussed during the seminars. It also outlines the key findings and potential areas for improvement based on participants’ comments and feedback.
