8 October 2026

CISS hosted a delegation from Ecuador’s Navy, welcoming over 30 officers from the Ecuadorian Naval War Academy to explore cooperation and exchange experience. The delegation was welcomed by both military faculty and CISS members, who together presented them with a brief overview of the university, covering the inner workings of the German Navy, historical ties to the Ecuadorian Armed Forces, the various academic offers of the university, and the latest research carried out by CISS personnel.

The visit marks another step in continuing the historical partnership and expertise exchange between the German and Ecuadorian Armed Forces.
