digital passenger

1 March 2022

Passengers use a large number of digital services (e.g., Google Maps) and are increasingly moving through the transportation system in a self-determined manner. The asymmetry of information (passenger side) and control options (service providers) leads to inefficiencies. Through an appropriate exchange of information (e.g., arrival times), the services at the airport could react appropriately to the expected demands (e.g. timely opening of control lanes).

Using Anylogic (example model for an airport), a reference model of an airport is to be implemented. Suitable scenarios of the information exchange between passengers and the airport are to be described and the effect of control options in the simulation system is to be shown.
