Combine work and family life

As a family-conscious university, we respect the diverse family models of our employees. The Family Service Office is the first point of contact for all questions concerning the compatibility of work and family life. By offering advice to our employees and implementing pragmatic measures, we promote a family-friendly and non-discriminatory working environment. In addition to the university’s day nursery “Campusküken" for toddlers and the parents’ initiative kindergarten “Sonnenwiese e.V.”, events on issues concerning compatibility of work and family life take place on a regular basis. Irrespective of this, the university offers a wide variety of flexible working-time models and provides teleworking places, which particularly benefit employees with family and care responsibilities.

Since 2015, the university has been a member of the Family in Higher Education Association ("Familie in der Hochschule”) and, as a modern employer, is committed to ensuring a family-friendly working atmosphere.
