ESSEC Presents FORTRESS at SCIA 2026 in South Korea
1 July 2026
On July 1, 2026, the ESSEC team participated in the 9th Workshop on Side-Channel Information Analysis (SCIA 2026) in Samcheok, South Korea. Organized by the Korea Institute of Information Security and Cryptology (KIISC), the workshop brings together leading international researchers and industry experts each year to discuss the latest advances in side-channel analysis, hardware security, and cryptographic engineering.
As part of the workshop, Dr. Jongyoun Park delivered an invited presentation on the European research project FORTRESS. The talk highlighted the project's vision of developing a next-generation Hardware Root of Trust (HW-RoT) and presented recent progress in the design of secure hardware architectures and evaluation methodologies for defending against physical attacks.
The presentation provided an excellent opportunity to showcase the ESSEC team's research to an international audience and to strengthen scientific exchange with leading researchers in the fields of side-channel analysis and embedded systems security. The workshop once again emphasized the importance of international collaboration in advancing resilient and trustworthy hardware security technologies.
The ESSEC team would like to thank the workshop organizers for hosting an excellent event and looks forward to continued collaboration with the international hardware security research community.
