December 5 was the day. The annual conference of the German Forum for Service Research (DF)² took place at the ver.di Federal Administration in Berlin. A varied program was offered, thematically dealing with the question: “How can we shape the paradigm shift towards the information economy in business and society in a way that is oriented towards the common good?”
Together with his co-authors, Prof. Dr. Christoph Peters has published an article in the Journal of Service Management Research.

As of August 1, 2025, Immanuel Klein is part of the team at the Professorship for Information Systems, esp. Digital Process Management. He completed both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Management and Technology at the Technical University of Munich. At the professorship, he will be working as a research assistant and will also take on the role of operational director of the HAIPro Lab.
From October 6 to 8, 2025, our research assistant and PhD student Immanuel Klein participated in the PhD seminar “Research Methods in Information Systems.” The seminar is a joint initiative of all Munich universities and their Information Systems chairs and is open to all PhD students in Information Systems from Munich’s universities. It is organized by Prof. Hess from LMU Munich and was held this year at the Technical University of Munich in Garching.
In episode 293 of the "Public Sector Insider" podcast by Behörden Spiegel, Prof. Dr. Christoph Peters from the Universität der Bundeswehr München joins as a guest. In this episode, he discusses the challenges and importance of integrating technologies such as AI, automation, and digitalization with a human-centered approach in public and organizational processes.
The Chair of Information Systems, especially Digital Process Management, was represented at Celosphere 2025.
As part of the course Digitale Geschäftsprozesse (Digital Business Processes) in the study program Wirtschaftsinformatik (Business Information Systems), students participated in an inspiring guest lecture with Celonis.

Our Chair of Information Systems, especially Digital Process Management, recently had the pleasure of welcoming the Chief Information Security Officer of the Bundeswehr, Guido Schulte, as well as others responsible for information security within the Bundeswehr, as part of a training visit to the Universität der Bundeswehr München. In a LEGO LeSS workshop, the participants practiced applying scaled agile methods.
After many years as a participant in the working groups of MÜNCHNER KREIS, Professor Peters was admitted in 2025 as a professorial member and then, in November 2026, admitted to the Research Committee of MÜNCHNER KREIS at the general assembly.
