Professor Peters appointed to the Research Committee of MÜNCHNER KREIS

After many years as a participant in the working groups of MÜNCHNER KREIS, Professor Peters was admitted in 2025 as a professorial member and then, in November 2025, admitted to the Research Committee of MÜNCHNER KREIS at the general assembly.

MÜNCHNER KREIS sees itself as an association that provides orientation in order to

  • shape the challenges of digital transformation and
  • enable a well-founded stance.

To this end, MÜNCHNER KREIS offers an independent, interdisciplinary, and international platform for active and diverse discourse among all stakeholders from business, academia, and politics.

Through a wide range of activities, well-founded guiding principles are developed there to address the technical, economic, political, and social challenges arising from the interplay between digital and sustainable transformation.

The Research Committee of MÜNCHNER KREIS is responsible for the association-wide substantive work. It coordinates the working circles, working groups, program committees, and event planning. In addition, the Research Committee defines the substantive strategy for MÜNCHNER KREIS.

Our Chair of Information Systems, especially Digital Process Management, recently had the pleasure of welcoming the Chief Information Security Officer of the Bundeswehr, Guido Schulte, as well as others responsible for information security within the Bundeswehr, as part of a training visit to the Universität der Bundeswehr München.
