What opportunities do didactically planned and educationally based simulations offer for security research?
Prof. Manuela Pietraß: The chance of such conceived simulations lies in the virtual representation of safety-relevant processes and scenarios that are difficult to depict in reality. Virtual simulation environments offer the possibility of interactive experience and knowledge transfer on the personal level, as well as the examination and testing of existing and new operational procedures on the institutional level.
