With the new management of the institute of 01.10.2019, the future research focus of the Institute for Project Management and Construction Operations will be the development of innovative approaches for the successful execution of large-scale projects, especially with regard to management processes and the consideration of uncertainties in combination with the modelling and simulation of construction processes. With experience gained in the business world, among others, the goal is also to prepare research results in such a way that they can be implemented in real projects.

You will join a collegial team and have the opportunity to actively participate in the redesign of the institute. Each team member will be given the necessary freedom to work independently. In order to ensure a work-life balance, we offer flexible working hours and, if necessary, the possibility to do parts of the research work at home by arrangement.

Job Offer

Research Assistant (m/f/d)

- Participation in courses and scientific supervision of students
- Carrying out research work, partly under the supervision of students for bachelor´s and master´s theses
- Publication of scientific articles
- Collaboration in various organizational and administrative tasks

Postdoctoral Researcher (m/f/d)

- Participation in the scientific reorganization of the chair and opportunity to develop own research topics.
- Assumption of research group leadership/project management after acquisition of research projects.
- Participation in the planning and coordination of cooperation’s with industrial partners and other research institutions.
- Supervision of doctoral students in their scientific work.
- Supervision of final theses (Bachelor, Master).
- Participation in teaching or independent implementation of courses (lectures / exercises / etc.).
- Publication of scientific articles and external representation of the chair.
- Collaboration in various organizational and administrative tasks.

Your Profile

- Interest in the field and interdisciplinary work with initiative, sociability and enthusiasm.
- Diploma or Master's degree in civil engineering or relevant fields (research assistant).
- Doctorate in civil engineering or relevant fields (postdoctoral researcher ).
- Strong team spirit and communication skills.
- Very good knowledge of German and English, both written and spoken.
