New institute name "IMCS" from January 2018

At the beginning of the new year 2018 there will be some major changes at the institute. Prof. Alexander Popp (previously Technische Universität München) takes over the newly founded Professorship for Computer-Aided Simulation in Civil Engineering and complements the existing team with Prof. Thomas Apel. At the same time, we have appropriately given ourselves a new institute name and look forward to welcoming you to the Institute for Mathematics and Computer-Based Simulation (IMCS).

 

Mit Beginn des neuen Jahres 2018 gibt es einige große Veränderungen am Institut. Prof. Alexander Popp (bisher Technische Universität München) übernimmt die neu gegründete Professur für Computergestützte Simulation im Bauingenieurwesen und ergänzt das bestehende Team um Prof. Thomas Apel. Gleichzeitig haben wir uns passenderweise einen neuen Institutsnamen gegeben und freuen uns, Sie zukünftig am Institut für Mathematik und Computergestützte Simulation herzlich willkommen zu heißen.

IMCS at "FE im Schnee" 2024

The Institute for Mathematics and Computer-Aided Simulation (IMCS) once again participated in the annual conference "FE in the Snow," held in the beautiful Kleinwalsertal. The conference provides a platform for the exchange of knowledge and novel approaches in the field of the Finite Element Method and computer-aided simulation.
