Scientific Exchange with INRIA Strasbourg

On Monday, October 17th, our colleague Nora Hagmeyer kicked off a collaboration with the MIMESIS group at INRIA Strasbourg with a presentation on the "Modeling of Balloon Angioplasty using Geometrically Exact Beam Theory". The research collaboration will be focused on the Patient-specific Design of Endovascular Devices, combining IMCS expertise in High Performance Computing and efficient Mixed-Dimensional Modeling with MIMESIS know-how in Optimal Control and Medical Imaging. Over the next 12 weeks, Nora will work closely with the MIMESIS team during a research stay in Strasbourg.
