Preliminary program of the Finite Element Symposium 2022

30 August 2022

The Chemnitz Finite Element Symposium is a traditional conference series, which takes place annually in September and revolves around the computer based solution of partial differential equations. This year, the IMCS will host the symposium from September 15 to 17, 2022, at the Haus der bayerischen Landwirtschaft in Herrsching am Ammersee close to Munich. The focus will be on the following topics:
  • Discretization of problems with low regularity solutions,
  • Discretization of optimal control problems,
  • Neural networks with applications to PDEs.

Among other attractions, participants can look forward to exciting presentations by the invited speakers

  • Gitta Kutyniok (LMU Munich),
  • Mariano Mateos (Universidad de Oviedo),
  • Serge Nicaise (Université Valenciennes),
  • Joachim Schöberl (TU Wien),
  • Max Winkler (TU Chemnitz).

A preliminary program from August 30, 2022 is now available. More information can be found on the conference website.
