Optimierung des Netzplanungsproblems zur Verbindung von Basisstationen entlang der Bahnstrecke

Optimierung des Netzplanungsproblems zur Verbindung von Basisstationen entlang der Bahnstrecke
Smart transportation systems are changing the way future mobility is conceived. In particular, railways are undergoing a transformation process to modernize public transportation
and rail operation. In this work, the network planning for the future communications in long-distance rail systems will be addresses, mainly focusing on the required infrastructure to connect the required base stations along the rail with the network nodes.
In this work, different network architectures will be compared: a) point to point connection, b) one stage Passive Optical networks and c) unbalanced Passive Optical networks. The comparison will take into account the number of required equipment as well as the length of the optical fiber for different scenarios.
