In recent years the number of (mostly civilian) unmanned small and micro aerial vehicles has increased steadily. The main reasons for this growth can be found in the simplified operation and (commercial) availability. The Bundeswehr is countering this new emerging military threat with C -sUAS (Counter Small Unmanned Aerial Systems). However, the growing need for these systems results in both technical and legal challenges for their use.

In a study, CISS will analyze these legal aspects of the use of C-sUAS by the Bundeswehr in Germany.
