Digitalization has profoundly changed information gathering and the way people share and evaluate information. These changes have an impact on individual opinion formation and thus have implications for the overall societal decision-making process.

The aim of the study is to examine how social debates and (security) policy discourses are affected by digital media, social networks and new communication technologies, in order to assess how in the digital age political attitudes and political decision-making processes develop.
