Clara Clipea M.Sc.

Clara Clipea is an enthusiastic data scientist with a diverse background. Her most significant work contributed to developing a computer vision model for Deutsche Bahn to recognize the railway station and its vegetation.

She started her education with a Bachelor's in International Studies and European Studies at the Babes-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca. After doing a voluntary year in Munich, she decided to pursue a Master's degree in Consumer Science at the Technical University of Munich. In between, she also followed some courses for the TUM-BWL Bachelors.

She discovered her passion for analyzing data while working as a student at different firms (Knorr-Bremse, Siemens, and NavVis) and in other departments. This led her to do a traineeship in data science for Alexander Thamm. Her primary focus is on predictive analytics and computer vision.

As a research associate, she joined the Center for Crisis Early Warning (CCEW) team at the University of the Bundeswehr Munich in February 2024.
