The Multifaced Nature of Bias in AI: Impact on Model Generalization, Robustness, and Fairness

At last week’s EU AI Fairness Cluster meeting in Brussels, Eirini presented insights on the different forms of bias in AI in a talk titled "The Multifaced Nature of Bias in AI: Impact on Model Generalization, Robustness, and Fairness".

EU AI Fairness Cluster Brussels

Eirini participated in the final event of the EU AI Fairness Cluster in Brussels. It was a great opportunity to explore different aspects of fairness in AI.

Machines like us?

Eirini participated in the INDOR Ringvorlesung “Maschinen wie wir? Wie KI Bildung, Wirtschaft und Gesellschaft herausfordert” during WT24. She contributed a short talk on AI bias (the useful, the bad, and the harmful) which also formed the basis for a chapter in the book "The Multifaced Nature of Bias in AI: Impact on Model Generalization, Robustness, and Fairness".

Keynote on Bias and Fairness in AI: Current and Future Trends

Eirini had the pleasure to give a keynote on "Bias and Fairness in AI: Current and Future Trends" at the CISUC - Centre for Informatics and Systems of the University of Coimbra.
