Prof. Ntoutsi delivered a position talk on bias in AI systems, titled “Machines like us? How AI challenges education, economy, and society”
The Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning (AIML) research group, led by Prof. Eirini Ntoutsi, focuses on developing intelligent algorithms to address real-world data challenges and contribute to societal improvement. Our research is guided by three fundamental questions: i) How can we develop intelligent machines for the real world? ii) What kind of intelligence are we striving to develop? And, iii) Can AI exhibit creativity?
These questions guide our research into cutting-edge advancements in artificial intelligence and machine learning. Our ongoing research includes:
- Continuous learning over evolving data and data streams.
- Responsible Artificial Intelligence with a focus on fairness-aware machine learning and explainable AI.
- Generative AI for improving data quality for AI and generating new data and solutions.
