Since May 2025, I am lecturer at the Chair of Sociology of Globalization. I studied sociology at the Universitat de Barcelona (UB), ​​completed a master's degree in applied social research at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, and received my doctorate in sociology on the topic of sexual violence in Spanish universities at the UB in 2015. During my Juan de la Cierva postdoctoral position at the Universitat Rovira i Virgili, I worked on the EU-funded project PROTON: Modelling the PRocesses leading to Organized crime and Terrorist Networks and served as editor of the open access International and Multidisciplinary Journal of Social Sciences (until January 2025). I have held research stays at the Harvard School of Public Health, the City University of New York, and Stanford University, and have held teaching positions at the Universidad Loyola Andalucía, the Julius-Maximilans-Universität Würzburg and the University of Stuttgart. From 2021 to 2025, I worked at the Institut für Praxisforschung und Projektberatung in Munich on working through the past of sexual violence in institutions such as the church and the scouts. In my habilitation, I would like to address the phenomenon of sexual violence and the silence surrounding it, using the example of the mass rapes at the end of the Second World War as a starting point.
