RISK.twin – Intelligent critical technical infrastructure

The aim of this research project is to develop hybrid digital twins for critical technical infrastructure. We look at basic scientific methodology for the development of such twins (computer-aided simulations, machine learning) as well as very concrete application scenarios and objects (e.g. bridges, building construction as well as water and energy systems). In addition, we investigate the usability of hybrid digital twins for political and ministerial actors, especially in crisis situations, focusing on both civilian and military uses. The project is conducted by an interdisciplinary team of researchers from the RISK Research Centre at UniBw M and the HSU/UniBw H.
