Manuel Sohr completed a dual study program in International Business Management with a focus on sports management. He subsequently earned a Master of Science in Market-Oriented Management at TH Cologne, where he further deepened his knowledge in human resource management. A research internship in leadership and human resource management at the University of St. Gallen strengthened his research interest in questions of effective leadership as well as in the promotion of health and well-being in the workplace. Manuel Sohr is currently working as a research associate at TH Cologne.
Since January 2025, he has been pursuing an external doctorate at the Chair of Leadership and Organizational Behavior. As part of his cooperative doctoral project with TH Cologne, his research focuses on well-being and health in organizational contexts.
His research interests include:

- (Self-deprecating) humor in leadership
- Human resource management in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs)
