Lecture contents The elective module "Selected Problems in the Military Use of Materials and Fuels" is intended to provide an overview of the work of the Institute of Materials and Fuels of the German Armed Forces. For this purpose, basic knowledge of damage analysis and the prevention of damage is imparted. In addition, you will be familiarized with specific problems in the development, operation and possible service life extension of components and weapon systems. A large number of tools available at WIWeB, for example in the field of non-destructive testing (NDT), operational stability, surface analysis and chemistry, will be presented and their advantages, disadvantages and performance will be examined.
Knowledge in materials science/chemistry, experimental physics and technical mechanics.
