Minisymposium at Coupled Problems 2023

23 January 2023

Dr. Matthias Mayr co-organizes a minisymposium on “Iterative Methods and Preconditioners for Challenging Multiphysics Systems” at the 9th International Conference on Computational Methods for Coupled Problems in Science and Engineering to be held in Chania/Crete on June 5-7, 2023.

These efforts continue a long-running series of minisymposia on iterative methods and solvers for coupled problems. The minisymosium aims to bring together experts for iterative methods tailored to coupled multi-physics problems to discuss recent advances in partitioned and monolithic solution strategies, their computational performance and scalability, as well as their application to solid mechanics, e.g. contact and fracture problems, surface-coupled problems such as fluid-structure interaction, and volume-coupled problems, e.g. reactive flows, magneto-hydrodynamics, or plasma physics applications, among others.
