Guided tour through the laboratory of the Institute of Structural Engineering

31 May 2021

Within the dtec.bw project RISK.twin and in close cooperation with other participating institutes, three research associates at IMCS are investigating physics- and data-based models for a hybrid digital twin. The digital twin will be used to represent critical technical infrastructure. As can be guessed from the photo, the initial focus will be on damage modeling of reinforced concrete components.

To give an impression of the real components and their testing, the colleagues at the Professorship of Concrete Structures kindly invited us to a guided tour through the laboratory and the test site. During this first personal meeting (in accordance with Corona rules), the focus was not only on getting to know each other, but also on the planning for a first test of the digital twin.
