In our Founders Incubator Programs, you will get the skills and tools you need through workshops, coaching and 

mentoring sessions besides networking possibilities to get your project on the Startup scene. 

Our Incubator Programs include:

WHAT DO WE OFFER?

Right now, we offer two different programs for entrepreneurs:

• Pre-Incubator: Entrepreneurship Excellence Program (April to June)

• Entrepreneurship Incubator – Business Edition (October to March)

PRE-INCUBATOR: THE ENTREPRENEURSHIP EXCELLENCE PROGRAM

The Entrepreneurship Excellence Program is designed for researchers and future founders to learn the latest

entrepreneurial tools and practice the skills needed to take their idea to the next level.

LEARN - You will learn the latest tools and methods like Design Thinking and Agile & Scrum and get the chance to

participate in flexible workshops such as idea generation, prototyping and testing, business models, team

management, legal questions of innovations and presentations.

PRACTICE - Develop your skills with hands-on workshops and methods to try what you learn right away!

APPLY - You will get insights on how to apply these new methods and skills into your research or business idea.

DIPLOMA - You can participate in as many workshops as you want, even if it's only one. Those who complete the

program will get a diploma to certify the new skills acquired.

SHARE - You will also get the change to pitch your idea at the end of the program in front of decision-makers.

This is not obligatory, but a wonderful chance to take your project to the next level!

THE PROGRAM

The Founders Pre-Incubator is a 12-week program with flexible Workshops every two to three weeks.

You can attend the workshops that you see fit, but by completing the program you get a certificate

of accomplishment.

CERTIFICATE OF ACCOMPLISHMENT: By completing the program, you will get a certificate of accomplishment either on

an academic track for those who want to learn the new methods to be used in academia, or an entrepreneurship track,

for the future founders who would like to start a journey in entrepreneurship.

COACHING HOURS: Between the workshops, you get the chance to book weekly personal meetings with our

startup coach to talk about your idea or research and how to make the most of it.

FAQs: Founders Pre-Incubator

-  Who are the participants?

• Everyone who is thinking about entre- or intrapreneurship is very welcome! It doesn't matter if you have an idea or a team, motivation is the first step.
• Researchers from all subjects who want to introduce new methods, tools and skills into their work and/or want to look into a new perspective in their future professional life.
• And for everyone who is interested in entre- and intrapreneurship and wants to take a first glance at what is possible.

-  What does the program cost?

• The Founders Pre-Incubator is free of charge.

- Can I attend only some of the workshops?

• Yes, you can attend how many workshops you want. However, you need to attend at least five workshops to get the Certificate of Accmplishment.

- Do I get support from founders@unibw?

• Of course! You get weekly hours with our startup coaches to ask any questions and you can profit from our co-working spaces and resources.

- In which language is the program?

• English

ENTREPRENEURSHIP INCUBATOR: BUSINESS EDITION

A strong business model is the bedrock of business success. The brains behind "The Business model Navigator" have

discovered that just 55 business models are responsible for 90% of the world’s most successful businesses. In this

Business incubation, we will learn, practice, and have hands-on of various business models. This business incubation is

adapted from the book “The business Model Navigator” from Gassmann, Frankenberger and Csik.

Our Business Incubator will help you understand the aspects of a business model such as:

What is a Business model?

Why do I need to update my Business model?

How do I adopt an alternative business model to suit my business?

How do I use them to achieve my strategy?

How do I manage innovation and change?

- What is an Incubator?

The Founders Incubator is a program by founders@unibw, the Intra- & Entrepreneurship Centre at Bundeswehr

University Munich, where we help founders and future founders to develop their Startups from the very first idea until

the final prototyping and presentation of the product or service.

We offer a different kind of programs every year. This Incubator will be centred on the development of a business model

which is specific to every project and team.
