PhD opportunities in the field of Satellite Communications at Universität der Bundeswehr München

 

The Universität der Bundeswehr München is a leading research institution in the field of air and space research. With the Munich Center for Space Communications, the University hosts Germany’s largest and most versatile experimental satellite ground station and Over-The-Air test facility for next-generation SATCOM technologies. We are currently looking for 5 highly motivated PhD students / doctoral candidates who are keen to be part of our research team. We are offering positions for PhD students (m/f) in the following fields:

  • Small-Satellites, satellite MEGA constellations and satellite-based 5G communications networks
  • Secure satellite communications and jamming / eavesdropping hardened system design
  • Artificial intelligence and machine learning in satellite network optimization and transmission design
  • MIMO and Multi-Antenna communications for Very High Throughput satellites (VHTS)
  • Massive machine type communications in the internet of space
