The Munich Public International Law Early Career Researcher Forum is a peer-based format, allowing Early Career Researchers to discuss their own research in various stages of completion, including initial research ideas, work-in-progress or full papers. It aims to allow ECR in training their skills in presenting and critically analyzing pieces of scholarship in an informal and supportive atmosphere.

Format

All participants in the Forum are expected to submit pieces of scholarship and engage with all other submissions. Each contribution is briefly presented by two other participants, with the first (the 'presenter') giving a brief, descriptive overview of the content and structure of the submission. The second (the 'discussant') engages with the substance of the paper and gives feedback, after whom the floor is opened to an open discussion among all participants. In doing so, discussants should address the strengths and weaknesses of the piece in a constructive manner. The author is also given the opportunity to respond to the feedback given.
