One of the great challenges of the future is to master the complexity of technical systems both in development and in use. The research priorities at ITPE therefore focus on two aspects:
- The development of methods for the optimization of data and information flows in product development
- The development of strategies for the integration of humans as users and as developers in the socio-technical system
