22nd Munich Lightweight Seminar

INVITATION & CALL FOR PAPERS

Since 2003, the Technical University, the University of the Federal Armed Forces and the Munich University of Applied Sciences have been inviting all those interested in lightweight construction to the annual Munich Lightweight Seminar. The aim is to bring together experts from research and industry to discuss new developments and possible applications. This year's Munich Lightweight Seminar 2025 will take place over three days as a classroom event at the participating universities.

You can find the agenda here. 

We invite all interested scientists and industry-related practitioners to give a presentation. You can submit a concise description or abstract of your presentation until September 07, 2025. All authors will be notified of acceptance of presentations to the conference by September 10. Presentations can be written in German or preferably English. All presenters are also invited to submit a full article in English of 4 to 12 pages for the conference proceedings by January 12, 2026. Upon completion of a review process, all authors will be notified of acceptance of their article by January 26, 2026. Accepted articles will be published in the proceedings of the Munich Lightweight Seminar 2025 by Springer Verlag.

SUBMISSION & TOPICS

Abstracts of presentations can be submitted via the Springer OCS system. The format template and guidelines can be found here. Contributions from all areas of lightweight design are welcome, thematic foci of this year's symposium are in particular:
