Matthias Frey has won the "Best Student Paper" award at the 12th IEEE Conference on Cognitive and Computational Aspects of Situation Management (CogSIMA) in Salerno, Italy.
Congratulations on this great success!
The title of his prize-winning paper and presentation is A Dynamic Bayesian Network and Markov Decision Process for Tactical UAV Decision-Making in MUM-T Scenarios. Together with Jonas Attmanspacher, a former master student, they showcased in an experimental campaign in our transport helicopter simulator at MARC – HuMiCS Lab that their intelligent assistance system can conduct a threat assessment on enemy forces in a mission area. The agent generates courses of action for UAV deployments on these targets.
