Welcome to the Research Institute CODE
The Research Institute Cyber Defence and Smart Data (CODE) conducts both basic and applied university research as well as technology development in the fields of cyber defense, smart data, and quantum technology. Our goal is to conduct interdisciplinary research and develop technological innovations and concepts for the protection of data, software, and systems. Therefore, we bring together scientific expertise and maintain close cooperation with partners from the Bundeswehr, government agencies, research institutions, and industry.
Being an official IBM Quantum Hub gives us direct access to quantum computers, enabling us to find solutions to tomorrow's challenges today. Our young academics are our most valuable asset. Together with them, we drive innovation and shape the future. An important building block for this is education and training – including our master's program in cyber security and training courses at our Cyber Range.
With currently over 150 employees in interdisciplinary research groups, we are helping to make Germany a little bit safer.
